Another SICK phone call.

These kinds of call come in almost daily…. Pets ARE being killed. It is legal to shoot cats in Wyoming. Cats are listed as a predator the same as a skunk.

Actual phone call:

God, I've got a load of cats
that I need killed
and I'm trying to figure
out where to bring them at.
Ummm, They told me that umm, I don't know, do you….
Do I just drop them off there?
Oh hell, I'll call back.

Pet Pals, Inc. has now taken in 18 cats that would be dead.

Local cats should be spayed and neutered
Published: Wednesday, Apr 30th, 2008 Torrington Telegram

Dear Editor:

It has come to my attention that there are multitudes of stray cats in Torrington that are being fed by local homeowners. And because of their humane gestures, the individuals are given citations and ordered to trap and dispose of the cats. I do not approve of the killings!

However, I can tell you why Torrington has such a cat problem. Does anyone in Torrington understand the concept of spay the females and neuter the males?

Recently, a lady told me she has a female cat that she found when it was a wee kitten. She adores this cat, but admits "she has produced three batches of kittens since I found her a year ago." Lady, get your cat spayed at once! Pet Pals, Inc. is available to assist you in the same manner that they have done to around 2,000 companion animals.

While I have your attention, I would like to tell the terrific people of Torrington that my last day at Waggin Tails Shelter was Jan. 17, 2008. I worked there since 2001 and met hundreds of wonderful people! I miss all of you! I now work at an animal no-kill rescue/sanctuary called Pet Pals, Inc. of Goshen County, which is located in Hawk Springs.
